“American Idol” winner Kris Allen performed his version of Kanye West’s song, “Heartless” on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon”.
They first talked about the rumors that there was some cheating going on with the vote, appropriately titled, “TextGate”. Jimmy said that he should title his first album after that.
Kris then talks about how his brother came to the show and auditioned for the show and how he chose the song, “All She Wants To Do Is Dance”.

Queen Latifah To Release ‘Cue The Rain’ May 19th!

Queen Latifah is back! The rapstress made waves singing her rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Pokerface” adding her own little verse. But now the Queen is ready to reclaim her rap throne with the release of her ninth studio album, “Persona”.
She’s dropping the first single, “Cue The Rain” tomorrow. “Persona” is set to be released on July 7th. Also on the horizon for the rapper is her performance slated for American Idol’s season finale. She is set to join Carlos Santana, Cyndi Lauper, Lionel Richie, the Black Eyed Peas, and Keith Urban. Previous winners David Cook and Carrie Underwood are also slated to perform.

Matt Giraud was given the royal boot on American Idol this week, after he failed to deliver the Rat Pack goods. He sang “My Funny Valentine” and was put in the bottom three, and thus was sent packing.
Afterwards, he talked to American Idol Extra, where he said he felt it was his time to go.
