Mary J. Blige To Guest Judge On ‘American Idol’

With the vacancy left by Paula Abdul still left up in the air, we are still wondering who’s going to be her replacement on “American Idol”.

We’ve heard the rumors that Kirstie Alley herself started, saying she would be the one to take over the judge spot. Then, it was said that Victoria Beckham was signing on for more than one episode of the show.

Now, we’ve just learned, that, in addition to Victoria, we’ll also be seeing R&B legend Mary J. Blige. She’s said to be meeting up with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi in Atlanta, Georgia for the auditions.

A source said of Victoria’s spot on the show, “The judges and production team have been having a lot of fun with Victoria. She’s had a great response so far, and has been really warm with the contestants.”

Who do you think would be a more successful judge? Victoria or Mary J.? I vote Mary, of course.

Dave Mustaine Wants To Teach Kids About Rock N’ Roll

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine wants to teach underprivileged children about rock and roll!

The metal singer plans on opening up the band’s recording studio in California to teach poor children about rock and roll. What an awesome idea, Dave! The headbangers are dying out!

The guys in the band own a building in San Diego, California, and they want to put it to use as a school of rock.

He said, “I want to give something back. I’m not one of these guys who needs a lot of money, but because I’ve been so overpaid during my career I’m going to invite some inner-city kids to the studio and teach them about music. Some of these kids have the talent, but not the means to show it. Wouldn’t it be awesome to find a kid and bless his life with music and give him a career?”

It is awesome. Kudos to Dave for still being cool after all these years.

Michael Jackson - ‘The Remix Suite’ Album Cover

Long live the King.

Michael Jackson claims his thrown on the official cover of Michael Jackson: The Remix Suite, a collection of over 20 remixed MJ and Jackson 5 classics from producers including The Neptunes, Polow Da Don, Stargate, Q-Tip, Ryan Leslie, Tricky Stewart, Dallas Austin, and more.

Suite 1 goes to digital retailers on September 1, and the entire five-part collection will be available by October 27.

Madonna Cancels Slovenian Concert

Madonna has canceled her upcoming concert in Ljubljana, Slovenia, due to reports of low ticket sales. She was set to perform there on August 20th, but pulled out, with her manager confirming the news.

It was said that the concert was canceled when she only managed to sell 7,000 tickets out of 63,000. Live Nation’s manager, Laszio Borsos, who is also overseeing Madonna’s European tour, says that the cancellation has nothing to do with ticket sales.

Borsos said, “The reason for the cancellation is unforeseen logistical difficulties. There is no problem with ticket sales, absolutely.”

Papa Roach Announce U.K. & European Tour

Rockers Papa Roach have just announced their European tour, which also includes dates in the United Kingdom. The group is touring in support of their latest album, “Metamorphosis”. They have already released single “I Almost Told You I Loved You” and it rocks!

Beyonce Pays Tribute To Michael Jackson - Video

Beyonce was performing at the Essence Festival 2009, when she paid tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

In her performance, she changed the words of her popular song, “Halo”, to be about Michael.

All Time Low’s New Video - ‘Weightless’ - Watch It Here

We’ve just viewed the new All Time Low music video for “Weightless”, and it’s pretty rockin’.

The song is from their album, “Nothing Personal”, which is slated to be released tomorrow.

New Eminem video: ‘Beautiful’

Eminem’s new video for “Beautiful” has just been leaked and you can check it out here!

The song comes from his new album, “Relapse”, which dropped on May 19th.

I really like the slower Eminem songs and this one is no exception. It’s actually one of my favorites from the album.
